The Maple City American Legion Post 199 will be holding its fifth and final free Flying Fishing Academy class next Wednesday, Aug. 22.

The class runs from 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the American Legion, 4599 Maple City Road.

D.J. Schmidt, a certified and state licensed guide, will provide fly fishing movies, the physics of casting, knot tying, rods, materials, sample flies and help students tie their own flies.

The class is for students 12 to adult. The class is limited to a dozen participants. Call Schmidt at 228-4030.
