Matthew and Alexandra Schwarz of Nickenich, Germany are the parents of twin girls born Aug. 12 in Germany.

Emily Grace and Melissa Jean weighed 3 lbs., 14 oz. and 4 lbs., 14 oz. respectively.

Mr. Schwarz is a Leland graduate and former Cedar resident.

The girls are the great-granddaughters of Jeanetta Gibson of Cedar, formerly of Leland and the granddaughters of Matthew and Barbara Schwarz of Elmwood Township.
