You live in Leelanau County because: Because it’s a very special place. Our neighbors have been our neighbors for a long time — not my generation, but the families have stayed the same. I know so many people here.

Last good movie you saw: The Man of All Seasons, a 1966 film based on a play by Robert Bolt. I don’t watch movies or TV a lot.

Things important to you that you have accomplished so far: In June 2009 I received the Volunteer of the Year award in New England where I met Tom Brady, the New England Patriots’ quarterback. Mr. (Robert) Kraft the owner of the Patriots presented the award to me.

What you hope to be doing in 10 years: I’ll be lucky if I live for another 10 years! I hope to keep doing what I’m doing. I just recently started playing the snare drum.

Things you lose sleep over: I worry about my family when they’re traveling of course, but overall I don’t worry about too many things because you have to be optimistic. Things aren’t always going to be perfect so you have to go on from there.
