Leelanau County’s Public Safety Day and Fire Department Recruitment will be held Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the county government center in Suttons Bay Township.

Vehicles and equipment will be on scene. There will be child fingerprinting for parents; fire demonstrations; a 911 system demonstration; blood pressure checks and a trailer that simulates the smoky conditions encountered during a structure fire.

Food and refreshments will be provided. There will be no cost to attend.
