To the Editor:

Leelanau Christian Neighbors wishes to extend a heart filled thank you to Glen Noonan, the Helwig Family and Cherryland Electric. Through their unselfish acts of giving, animals purchased at the Northwest Michigan Livestock auction were donated to LCN’s food pantries in Suttons Bay and Northport.

Thank you to the 4-H kids who lovingly raised their animals for the livestock auction and Darryl Robinson and his volunteers from the 4-H Livestock Council.

The Suttons Bay and Northport pantries serve over a hundred families a week and the meat donated will go a long way toward feeding our neighbors in Leelanau County.
