Cedar man placed on probation for ‘drug house’

DELOY DELOY A 36-year-old Cedar man was sentenced in 86th District Court on Tuesday to two years probation and credit for jail time served on a conviction of attempting to maintain a drug house.

Christopher E. Deloy is no longer incarcerated and now lives in Traverse City. He was also ordered to pay $1,525 in fines and costs.

The charges stem from a May raid of his Cedar home that netted chemicals and equipment used to make methamphetamine.

The home, located at 8102 S. Schomberg Road, was raided by Traverse Narcotics Team detectives after they got a tip that methamphetamine was being manufactured there.

Morphine and marijuana were also found.

Deloy will also be drug-tested four times per month and has been ordered to perform four days of community service as part of his sentence.
