FORECLOSURE BY ADVERTISEMENT NOTICE OF SALE

NOTICE UNDER MCL 600.3278: Pursuant to MCL 600.3278, if the property is sold at a foreclosure sale under MCL 600.3201 et seq., the Mortgagor will be responsible to the person who buys the property at the mortgage foreclosure sale or the mortgage holder for damaging the property during the redemption period.

The Leelanau County Construction Board of Appeals will hold a public meeting on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at 9:00 a.m. at the Government Center Board Conference Room, located at 8527 E. Government Center Drive, Suttons Bay, MI 49682. The Board will hear a request for a variance of the 2012 Michigan Building Code, Section 1009 Stairways. Centerville Township Notice to the Public

Synopsis of Regular Bd. Meeting for August 19, 2015

Board members Kelenski, Wurm, Pleva, Schwantes, & Peplinski were present. 4 Land Use Permits were issued in July. Resolution 2015-07 was adopted to approve the 4-township partnership agreement to jointly operate the fire department with Kasson, Cleveland, and Solon townships. Wurm was appointed to the new fire board with Pleva as an alternate. The board also signed a sub-agreement with Leelanau County for the Payment in Lieu of Taxes in the amount of $818.77. Residents are reminded that “No Diving” is allowed off the township park dock and a sign has been purchased & installed warning the public of the shallow water. The next regular board meeting is scheduled for Wed., Sept 9, 2015 at 7PM at the Centerville Hall. Board minutes are available on the Twp. web site at www.leelanau.cc or by request at 228-7663.

Kasson Township Notice to the Public

Board Proceedings

The following is an August 10, 2015, meeting synopsis of the Kasson Township Board. Minutes are available for review with the Township Clerk. Supervisor Lanham called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm. B. Noonan, Julian, Cruz, R. Noonan, and Lanham were present as well as the zoning administrator and two guests. No conflicts of interest declared. Approved minutes of the July 6, 2015, meeting. Reviewed correspondence. Received Treasurer’s report and approved payment of bills. Received Planning Commission, Zoning Administrator, Supervisor, and Fire Board reports. Agreed to place ad for notice of one vacant term on the Planning Commission. Appointed the Zoning Administrator as the Medical Marijuana Officer; amended Fee schedule to include Medical Marijuana Facility Licensing – Initial fee $150/yearly renewal $75.00. Appointed Julian as Fire Board Representative. Agreed to let the non-profit Friends of Sleeping Bear use the town hall as a meeting place at no cost provided there are no meeting conflicts. Heard hall use, building and grounds committee reports. Adjourned at 8:32 pm.

Glen Arbor Township Notice to the Public

Board Meeting Synopsis
August 18, 2015

The Regular Board meeting was called to order at 7:30 PM. All Board members were present. The agenda was approved with modifications. By motion, minutes from the 7/21/15 regular meeting and the 8/11/15 special meeting were approved. There was public comment. Cash on hand $2,545,079. The Board approved by motion to pay expenses of $37,644 (Gen’l Fund) and $115,519 (Emergency Services).

By motion, the Board approved a request from the Fire Chief to make benefits available to a new full-time employee ahead of schedule due to the number of hours he worked as a parttime employee. The Fire Chief reported that the ambulance bids have been received and that a recommendation would be ready in September. He added that a preliminary long-range plan regarding Station 2 would be going to Empire for review and that the 2016-2017 draft budget was completed. By motion, the Board approved $2,000 for vehicle mechanic training for fire department staff.

Steve Peacock, for Rehmann Robson, presented the 2014-2015 draft audit. There will be a special board meeting on 8/27/15 at 9:00 AM to present the Emergency Services draft audit and draft 2016-2017 budget. There will be a Public Hearing for the draft budget on 9/9/15 at 7:00 PM. The Zoning Administrator’s and Assessor’s reports were presented in writing. Correspondence was reviewed. Soderholm updated the Board on the storm clean-up progress. By motion, the Board agreed to pay Brian the painter $750 for his work following the storm. Kelly reported that there was no regular Planning Commission meeting in August and that a Public Hearing on the Master Plan is scheduled for 8/20/15.

The public hearing will be held at the Elmwood Township Hall, 10090 E. Lincoln Road, Traverse City. Individuals can make public comment or submit written comments, in person, at the public hearing. Written comments may be submitted prior to the public hearing by mailing them to: Planning and Zoning Department, 10090 E. Lincoln Rd, Traverse City, MI 49684 or planner@elmwoodtownship.net. Written comments submitted prior to the public hearing regarding this variance request will be received until 5:00 pm, Wednesday, September 30, 2015.
