Elmwood Charter Township Planning Commission Notice of Public Hearing

A Public Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at 7:00 p.m. before the Elmwood Charter Township Planning Commission to consider a new draft Zoning Ordinance and map. The draft Zoning Ordinance may be viewed at the Township Hall during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or online at www.leelanau.cc/elmwoodtwp.asp.

The public hearing will be held at the Elmwood Township Hall, 10090 E. Lincoln Road, Traverse City. Individuals can make public comment or submit written comments, in person, at the public hearing. Written comments may be submitted prior to the public hearing by mailing them to: Planning and Zoning Department, 10090 E. Lincoln Rd, Traverse City, MI 49684 or planner@elmwoodtownship.net. Written comments submitted prior to the public hearing will be received until 5:00 pm, Tuesday, October 20, 2015.

Kasson Township Planning Commission Notice to the Public

PUBLIC HEARING

Please take notice that the Kasson Township Planning Commission will conduct a public hearing on a proposed amendment to the Zoning Ordinance during its regular monthly meeting Monday, October 19, 2015, at 7:00 PM in the Township Hall, located at 10988 S Newman Rd, Maple City, MI 49664.

The proposed amendment is to reduce the minimum lot size requirement from 10 acres to 5 acres in Section 4.7.3 (Forested Zoning District).

All members of the public are invited to attend the public hearing and to comment on the proposed zoning ordinance amendments. Persons wishing more information may contact the Commission Chairman, Tad Carter, at 231-228-5337. Written comments must be received by the Planning Commission, PO Box 62, Maple City, MI 49664 by 5:00 PM, Monday, February 9, 2015.

Glen Lake Community Schools Notice to the Public

Please take notice that the Glen Lake Community Schools, Board of Education has passed a motion to change the time of the monthly meetings starting with the October 12, 2015 meeting. The time has changed to: 7:00 P.M. during the school year and 6:00 P.M. during the months of June, July and August. The schedule is as follows:

Solon Township Board Notice to the Public

Meeting Minutes Synopsis for 09/10/2015

Supervisor Lautner opened the regular meeting at 7:00 PM. with the Pledge of Allegiance.

The following actions were taken by the Board:

Approved the agenda as presented

Approved the regular meeting minutes from 08/13//2015 as written

Approved the Treasurer’s report and payment of vouchers

A meeting is scheduled on September 24, 2015 at 6:00 P.M. which will be held at the recycling site in the Village of Cedar to discuss upgrading the site. A quorum may be present.

Approved to appoint Dan Leach as the Solon Township representative for the new fire board

Approved to adopt a resolution for the State Disaster Contingency Fund Grant

Approved the Allocated Operational Millage amount of 0.6031 and the voted Fire/ Ambulance Millage of .9964 to be levied December 1, 2015

Suttons Bay Village Council Notice to the Public

Synopsis of Suttons Bay Village Council Regular Meeting of September 21, 2015

Regular meeting called to order 5:30 p.m. Quorum present.

Present: President Brandt, Trustees: Christensen, Hylwa, Hollander, Bahle, Bumgardner and Johnson.

Council discussed the SAW Grant the Village has been awarded and indicated it would be part of the 2016 budget. Council accepted the bid from Elmers for improvements to Jefferson Street and gave signatory authority to the Village manager to execute the same. Council amended the License of Use Agreement approved in June of this year for Insight Optometry to only include the sidewalk encroachment.

The Village Council approved the minutes of the previous meeting(s) and authorized payment of bills.

The meeting adjourned at 6:00 p.m.

Glen Arbor Township Notice to the Public

PO BOX 276 GLEN ARBOR, MI 49636 REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL To REPLACE TOWNSHIP HALL SEPTIC SYSTEM 6394 W. WESTERN AVE GLEN ARBOR, MI 49636

Glen Arbor Township is requesting proposals to replace the Township Hall septic system located at 6394 W. Western Ave, Glen Arbor, MI. A permit defining the scope of the system received from the Benzie-Leelanau District Health Department dated September 8, 2015 is available at the Township Hall or by email. Work to be done will be time sensitive in that the Hall is used for a variety of public activities throughout the year. The Township desires to receive bids for the work by 12 noon on Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at the Township Office, and intends to award the bid at its October 20, 2015 Board meeting. Work is to be scheduled for completion within five business days during any week prior to November 20, 2015. Pricing should separate the installation of and excavation for the septic tanks from the activities and supplies necessary to install the drain field for insurance purposes. The Township is not bound to accept the lowest bidder and will look toward the overall value and experience of the responding vendors in reaching its decision.
