Village of Northport Notice to the Public

Master Plan Housing Discussion Group

The Village of Northport Planning Commission is updating the Village Master Plan. The updated master plan will be a guide to help shape local land use and other community decisions. It will prepare the Village for changing needs and will allow for informed decisions about transportation, housing, infrastructure, recreation, land use, the economy, and overall quality of life. As part of the Master Plan update, the Planning Commission will host a series of Master Plan Discussion Groups to gather ideas and information about specific community topics.

All are welcome and invited to the next Master Plan Discussion Group, which will be held September 20th and will be focused on the issue of housing. Subsequent meetings with various other emphases will be held on October 18th, November 15th, December 20th, January 17th, February 21st, March 21st, and April 18th all at 7 p.m., at the Leelanau Township Fire Hall located at 100 West 8th Street, Northport, MI 49670.
