Poem for Uncaged captures flavor of the day

To the Editor:

Saturday September twenty fourth,

I went to the street fair in Northport.

My daughter and I have gone there before, we know a good time is in store.

There were 40 bands there that day, all genres of music was played.

There was also dancing entertainment, hoop dancing, & Native American dancers from the GTB reservation.

Many vendors were set up in the streets, many crafts on which our eyes could feast.

Things made of wood, cloth, stone and clay, made interesting and colorful displays.

Along the way there were food booths, serving pizza, hot dogs and soup.

Tables were there to sit and eat your food.

Music there to add to the good mood.

Thank you Northport for this street fair, we always have fun when we’re there.

It’s a great event at the end of the summer.

We look forward to it every year.
