Halloween is still a bit off, but on Saturday, Oct. 22, the Pumpkin Festival comes to Glen Arbor. A pumpkin carving contest will run from 1-5 p.m. At 1:30 p.m., a kids and pets costume contest will be held with a parade. Games, face painting and live music by Jack Pine will be offered from 2-5 p.m. And the “lighting of the pumpkins” will be held at 6:30 p.m.

A community dinner will be served from 5:30-7:30 p.m. with a cost of $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

Trick or treating will still be held Halloween weekend, more later.

The Empire United Methodist Church will hold their annual Fall Festival Swiss Steak Dinner on Friday, Oct. 21 from 5-7 p.m. A good meal for a “free will offering.”
