‘Spoon man’ to perform at Highlands

Jim Krzewski, also known as Jim Cruise “The Spoon Man,” will perform at Northport Highlands on Thursday, Nov. 21 at 4 p.m.

Krzewski grew up in Kentwood, and has been playing the spoons for nearly 35 years, professionally for 24 years. His program contains some Sinatra and several outrageous impressions such as Glenn Miller and Elvis combined.

An audience sing-a-long competition as well as a Mountain Band created from audience members are part of his act.

Both his grandfathers played spoons. Although Krzewski initially wanted to play drums, he ended up with the spoons.

Refreshments will be served at the performance.
