Town or township of residence: Centerville Township

Resident since: June 2005

Age and birthplace: 18, Oakland County, Mich.

Occupation: I currently work as the manager of Leelanau Pie & Pastry, but I am working toward my associate’s degree in accounting and business at NMC.

Marital Status: Single.

You live in Leelanau County because: My parents raised me here from age 8. It’s also very beautiful here in the fall. I love that.

Last good movie you saw: “13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi”

Last good book you read: “Redemption” by Lauren Kate.

If you could trade places with one person for one day, it would be: Emma Watson when she was filming the Harry Potter series. It would be amazing to see that. That is my favorite book/movie series of all time.

Things important to you that you’ve accomplished so far: I have written my first novel, “Destiny Transformed” and it’s more than 400 pages… I went through the Early College Program at the TBA Career-Tech Center. I chose the business program so I was able to finish accounting 121 and 122 college level classes by my senior year. I’ll have my associate’s degree next spring and ultimately my bachelor’s degree a year earlier than other people from my graduating class.

What you hope to be doing in 10 years: I hope to be working at a respectable accounting firm, gaining experience in my field and having a family.

Things you lose sleep over: I lose sleep about my future and where life will take me. I like to know what I’m doing and where I’m going, when I don’t, it troubles me.

If you could change one thing in Leelanau County it would be: I would try to make the local schools more accepting of outside students. When my brother and I moved here it was a very hard transition, but in the end it worked out.

Favorite dessert: Mint, chocolate chip ice cream in a waffle cone.

Are you a coffee drinker? I like the occasional whipped coffee drink from a coffee shop, other than that, not really. I prefer tea actually.

Favorite place in Leelanau County: Pyramid Point or just driving along M-22 by Glen Arbor. It’s beautiful.

If you had more time you would: Hike and be outside more than I do now. It’d be awesome to have more time to explore.

The words that best describe you are: “Though she be but little, she is fierce,” William Shakespeare.
