Town or township of residence: I live right at the entrance to the village of Northport.

Resident of county since: I moved here in 1981. I had a sister living in Northport, and I moved from Chicago.

Age and birthplace: Age is 62, and Minot, N.D.

Occupation: Water/wastewater operator, Grand Traverse Band. I’ve been involved with the Tribe for 31 years; wastewater the last 15.

Marital status: Married to Elizabeth Two Crow, and we’ve been married 14 years.

You live in Leelanau County because: The four seasons. I’m getting kind of tired of winter, but I still like it. Some day I might be a snowbird.

Last good movie you saw: It’s been awhile since I’ve been to the movies, but I did see the Magnificant Seven, and Sully before that. The Magnificant Seven, I liked the hero aspect, I guess. There’s always a bad guy out there.

Last good book you read: I’ve been reading a lot of wastewater books. They are more technical books, to brush up and keep on top of it. The EPA is always putting something new out there.

If you could trade places with one person for a day, who would that be: There are so many of them out there, but let’s go with Anthony Rizzo of the Chicago Clubs. I grew up a Cubs fan and a Bears fan. I was raised and lived in Chicago for 27 years before I moved up here.

Things important to you that you have accomplished so far: Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a wonderful wife.

What you hope to be doing in 10 years: Hopefully I’m retired and traveling. I’d like to go to Arizona, Florida, North Dakota.

Things you lose sleep over: Children, grandchildren, great grandchildren. Most live in Traverse City and Peshawbestown.

If you could change one thing in Leelanau County, it would be: I’d have more signs to let people know what the speed limit is up here. If you’re going to Northport, you don’t have to go 70. Slow down in Leelanau County.

Favorite dessert: Homemade strawberry pie with homemade whipped cream by my wife.

Are you a coffee drinker: Yes, sir, and between you and me I’m going to say 10 cups. Something like that, 8-10 cups.

Favorite place in Leelanau County: Peterson Park. Hopefully we get there weekly. It’s for looking over Lake Michigan and the sunsets.

If you have more time, you would: Travel a little more.

The words that best describe you are: Hard worker.
