Soup for you at The Homestead

The Homestead Resort will hold a “Super Soups” contest in honor of National Homemade Soup Day, Feb. 4.

Restaurants and individuals are both invited to enter their favorite soups into the contest, which will take place at stations scattered throughout the Homestead from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission is $10 per person and $5 for seniors and children under 12. Admission includes 4-ounce samples and a soup ballot. Winners will receive prizes at the end of the competition.

All proceeds will benefit Buckets of Rain, a county-based organization founded in 2006 by local musician Chris Skellenger, a live music regular at the resort.
