I guess I was remiss last week for not wishing everyone a Merry Christmas and Happy Chanukah. I hope you all had a great time and now Happy New Year.

Although the weather’s been weird, it unfortunately is about the same as last year at this time. We had power outages and wind at the same time last year and of course traveling was tricky. Once again welcome to the North woods.

Congratulations to members of the Glen Lake school football team who were chosen for post season honors. Honored on offense were Cade Peterson, Nick Apsey, Jared Jackson, Nick Rice and Jake Palmer. On the defensive side, Duke Angers, Peter Macke, Tony Duperon, Josh Sterzer and to the coach who put it all together, Jerry Angers. It’s pretty impressive when one team fields so many players selected to all-state, all-area and all-county. Congratulations to them at all of the other players that made it happen.
