New officials speak about future plans

The year 2017 will bring some new roles to familiar faces in Leelanau County, including Tony Ansorge, Greg Julian and Susan Och.

The Enterprise interviewed all three public officials for their views on the coming year in their escalated roles as public servants. Ansorge, a Republican who often votes with Democrats, has made a county-wide reputation as an issues-first government official rather quickly since being elected to the County Board. Julian played a leading role in establishing the new Cedar fire department and won a close election to become the Kasson Township supervisor. And Och, already known as a citizen activist, takes over as Leland Township supervisor.
