Burrell ordered to make payments


BURRELL BURRELL A 21-year-old Suttons Bay man pleaded guilty in 86th District Court to failure to pay fines and costs incurred years ago.

Daniel E. Burrell, of 2592 Beems Kwa Ma, was in court on Tuesday, where he was ordered to make payment arrangements on two cases once he is released from the Leelanau County Jail. They are a 2013 conviction of driving on a suspended license and a 2014 conviction of attempted assault, resisting, obstructing a police officer, attempted aggravated assault and minor in possession of alcohol.

Burrell is currently being held on a $10,000, 10 percent bond after being picked up on a bench warrant for failing to appear for several random drug screens dating back to May.

The drug screens were ordered as a part of his bond conditions on a case from April in which he was charged with drunken driving, second offense, and driving on a suspended license, also a second offense.

Burrell is also charged with two possession of a controlled substance felonies after a deputy being pulled him over in December and found Methadone and Xanax pills.
