Michigan law requires local governments to inform their citizenry through public notices published in newspapers of record for their communities. TO ALL INTERESTED PERSONS:

1. On 1/17/17 I was appointed personal representative as requested in the application for petition for probate of this estate (copy attached unless previously sent). I am serving without bond. The papers related to the estate are on file with the Leelanau County Probate Court located at 8527 E. Government Center Dr. #203, Suttons Bay, MI 49682. This is not a supervised administration.

2. Attached is a copy of the will of the decedent which was admitted to probate and under which I will administer, manage and distribute the estate.

3. The court does not supervise the personal representative in the administration of the estate except in limited circumstances.

4. If I was appointed informally, you or another interested person may petition the court objecting to my appointment and/or demanding that I post a bond or an additional bond. The petition must be filed with the probate court along with the applicable fee. Unless the court grants the petition, I will continue to serve as appointed.

5. You or another interested person may petition for a hearing by the court on any matter at any time during the administration of the estate, including for distribution of assets and allowance of expenses of administration. The petition must be filed with the probate court along with the applicable fee.

6. If you continue to be an interested person (such as an heir of the intestate estate or devisee of beneficiary under the will of the decedent), I will provide you with: 1) a copy of the inventory within 91 days of my appointment; 2) unless waived by you, a copy of an account including fiduciary fees and attorney fees charged to the estate, within 1 year of my appointment; and 3) a copy of the closing statement or settlement petition when the estate is ready for closing.

7. To avoid penalties, I must have any federal estate and Michigan estate taxes within 9 months after the date of the decedent’s death or another time period specified by law.

8. The estate may not be closed earlier than 5 months after the date of my appointment except in limited circumstances. If the estate is not settled within 1 year after my appointment, within 28 days after the anniversary of the appointment, I must file with the court and send each interested person a notice that the estate remains under administration and the reason for the continuation of the estate. If you do not receive such a notice, you may petition the court for a hearing on the necessity for continued administration or foreclosure of the estate.

Glen Arbor Township Regular Board Meeting

November 15, 2016 Minutes Synopsis (Meeting Electronically Recorded and written notes)

Township Supervisor, John Soderholm, called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM in the Glen Arbor Town Hall meeting room. All board members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. The agenda was presented with additions and accepted as modified. Minutes from the October 18, 2016 regular meeting were approved as presented. There were no public comments. The Treasurer reported 10/31/16 cash on hand: $1,982,345.28. Gretzema presented the quarterly report for the community foundation in Traverse City, which is the Glen Arbor Garden fund, with a balance of $48,485. There will also be a spin-off of $2,000 which will happen in March. Bills – $22,232.06. General Fund: Expenses and payroll of $13,069.42. Both approved to be paid by motion. Financial statements reviewed. Emergency Services: Bills - $44,091.08. Expenses and payroll of $72,828.58. Both approved to be paid by motion. All expenses and financial statements have been reviewed and approved by ESAC. Emergency Services Advisory Commission report was given by Andy DuPont. Fire Chief Operations Report was given by John Dodson. Minutes from November 14, 2016 ESAC have been meeting distributed. Zoning Administrators Report Tim Cypher report submitted in writing. Tim & Polly Cairns’ Monthly Assessors Report submitted in writing. Correspondence was reviewed and accepted as presented. Michigan Township Focus, Planning & Zoning News. Unfinished business – none. New Business – Town Hall bids for dehumidifier, tile entry, driveway/parking lot sealcoat – 50% down, Woodstone Sewer #14-2016. Planning Commission – Kelly had minutes distributed from the meeting, however he did not attend the meeting. Public Comments – none. Board Member Comments – none. Glen Arbor Township Regular Board Meeting

October 18, 2016 Minutes Synopsis (Meeting Electronically Recorded)

Township Supervisor, John Soderholm, called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM in the Glen Arbor Town Hall meeting room. All board members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. The agenda was presented with additions and accepted as modified. Minutes from the September 20, 2016 regular meeting were approved as presented. Minutes from the Election Commission for the appointment of elections workers were presented. There were no public comments. The Treasurer reported 9/30/16 cash on hand: $2,218,116.91. Bills – 34,935.34 General Fund: Expenses and payroll of $10,616.06. Both approved to be paid by motion. Financial statements reviewed. Emergency Services: Expenses and payroll of $113,205.87. Both approved to be paid by motion. All expenses and financial statements have been reviewed and approved by ESAC. Emergency Services Advisory Commission report was given by Andy DuPont. Fire Chief Operations Report was given by John Dodson. Minutes from September 12, 2016 ESAC have been meeting distributed. Zoning Administrators Report Tim Cypher report submitted in writing. There was an appeal which was undertaken. The appeal was denied. Tim & Polly Cairns’ Monthly Assessors Report submitted in writing. Correspondence was reviewed and accepted as presented. Letter from Dana Roman regarding the results of the appeal, suggesting there are some loop holes in the planning data and standards. Minutes from the Park Commission, Sleeping Bear Heritage Trail, Leelanau Road Commission – Managers Report, Charter Communications, Planning and Zoning News, Leelanau Conservation District. Unfinished business – 2 bids for striping and sealing the parking lot. Great Lakes Striping and Sealing was awarded the job. It will start in the spring. Reconciliation of Capital and Operating Expenses for ESAC – Empire’s payments exceeded their share of the expenses by $40,268.00. Rather than receive a check Empire would like to turn the money into the joint Empire Glen Arbor Capital Fund. New Business – Town Hall mold removal. During the fall, there was a serious rainfall which caused flooding in the front foyer of the building. Gutters will be installed at approximately $3,000.00 and the carpet in the foyer will be replaced with tile. Planning Commission Report presented by Kent Kelly. Public Comments – Bill Meserve, representing the Glen Lake Association – update on swimmers itch abatement program. Board Member Comments – none. Adjourn to the call of the Chair. Northport Village Zoning Board Of Appeals

Public Meeting

A special meeting of the Northport Zoning Board of Appeals will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at the Village Hall, 116 West Nagonaba Street at 4:00 pm. Purpose of the hearing is to consider a request from Jozwiak Consulting Engineers for a Variance to the North Shore PUD (property ID #’s 042-234-039-00 & 042-234-039-20). Requested variance is for relief from the Village Zoning Ordinance, November 2006, Article 19.07, Street Development Requirements. Empire Township Board Minutes

The following is a synopsis of the January 10, 2017 regular meeting of the Empire Township Board. A complete copy of the minutes may be obtained by contacting the Clerk at 231-326-5349.

Supervisor Noonan called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Members present: Neiswonger, Price, and Deegan. Absent: Deering. Minutes of the 12-13- 16 regular meeting were approved.

It was noted that Empire Township accepted the mediation settlement agreement of January 5, 2017 regarding Vlack pond in Solon Township.

Actions approved by motions: 1) Accepted Floor Care Concept’s bid of $4,344.90 to refinish the township hall floor. 2) Paid monthly bills.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:00 p.m.

Notice Of Public Hearing

A Public Hearing is scheduled for Tuesday, February 21, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. before the Elmwood Charter Township Planning Commission to consider the Elmwood Township Capital Improvement Plan.

The complete Capital Improvement Plan may be viewed at the Township Hall during the regular office hours; Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm or on the Township website at http://leelanau.cc/elmwoodtwp.asp.

Bingham Township Notice Of Adoption

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the Bingham Township Board, at their regular meeting on January 16, 2017 at 7:00 PM at the Bingham Township Hall, Traverse City, Michigan, adopted four ordinances. The following is a synopsis:

Ordinance No. 01-011617 (Zoning Ordinance Amendment No. 16-007) An Amendment to the Bingham Township Zoning Ordinance to amend Section 3.12.10; Section 4.6.R; Section 5.5.I; Section 4.6.S.1; Section 4.6.S.4; Section 5.5.J.4; Section 4.6.S.8.a; Section 5.5.J.8.a; Section 11.1; Section 16.4; and Section 16.7. All of these changes are minor changes and are housekeeping in nature. This ordinance becomes effective February 3, 2017.

Solon Township Notice to the Public

PUBLIC HEARING

The Solon Township Board has scheduled a PUBIC HEARING for Thursday, February 9, 2017 at 7:30 pm in the Cedar Fire Department Meeting Room, 8907 Railroad Avenue, Cedar, MI to receive public comment on the proposed Parks and Recreation Plan and to receive public comment on the proposed Cedar River Project.

Suttons Bay Village Public Notice

Synopsis of Suttons Bay Village Council Regular meeting of January 16, 2017.

Regular meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m. Quorum present.

Present: Bahle, Case, Christensen, Hylwa, Johnson, Lutke and Suppes.

Council approved the minutes of December 19, 2016. Council approved payment of bills.

Council approved the completion of Phase #2 of the Water System Mapping GIS proposal in the amount of $6,500.00.

Council affirmed President Lutke’s recommendation of Erik Bahle and Alicia Evans as candidates to the DDA Board.

Council authorized the Village Manager to enter into a Service Agreement with Williams and Works for the base fee of $6,750.00 to continue the Zoning Ordinance project.

Council supports President Lutke in establishing a Special Committee to allow time for the purpose of reviewing the Short Term Rental Ordinance, specifically the commercialization of residential dwellings and the conflict between the Short Term Rental with the Village Land Use Ordinance.

The meeting adjourned at 5:59 p.m.
