 Notice of meeting time change, all meetings of the Board of Education of Leland Public School, Leelanau County, Leland, Michigan will begin at 6:00 p.m.

 The Village of Northport Planning Commission is updating the Village Master Plan. The updated master plan will be a guide to help shape local land use and other community decisions.

 Bingham Township Planning Commission will conduct Public Hearings and consider the following requests on March 2 1. Continuation of the review of an Application submitted by Shady Lane Cellars, for an Amendment to the Shady Lane Cellars Special Land Use Permit to use an existing barn for Special Events and Activities, increase the allowable number of guests per event from 150 to 200, and increase the number of allowable Special Events to 78 per year. 2. Application submitted by L. Mawby LLC, for an Amendment to the L. Mawby Winery Special Land Use Permit to increase the allowable number of guests per event to 350, and increase the number of allowable Special Events per year.

Please take notice that effective immediately, and remaining in effect until further notice, all meetings of the Board of Education of Leland Public School, Leelanau County, Leland, Michigan will begin at 6:00 o’clock p.m. Scheduled meetings remaining in the 2016-2017 fiscal year are as follows:

Village of Northport Master Plan

Community Assets/Infrastructure Discussion Group

The Village of Northport Planning Commission is updating the Village Master Plan. The updated master plan will be a guide to help shape local land use and other community decisions. It will prepare the Village for changing needs and will allow for informed decisions about transportation, housing, infrastructure, recreation, land use, the economy, and overall quality of life. As part of the Master Plan update, the Planning Commission will host a series of Master Plan Discussion Groups to gather ideas and information about specific community topics.

All are welcome and invited to the next Master Plan Discussion Group, which will be held Tuesday, February 21st, 2017 at the Northport Village Hall located at 116 W. Nagonaba and will focus on Community Assets and Infrastructure. Subsequent meetings with various other emphases will be held on March 21st, and April 18th all at 7:00 PM.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

TAKE NOTICE that the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality’s (MDEQ) Water Resources Division (WRD) will hold a public hearing at the Leelanau County Government Center, 8527 E Government Center Drive, Suttons Bay, Michigan 49682 on Thursday, February 23, 2017, at 6:00 pm.

The purpose of this hearing is to secure the views of interested persons concerning the following application for permit:

McGlynn Cypher Trust, 53 N. Eagle Highway, Lake Leelanau, Michigan 49653, has applied to this office for a permit under authority of Part 301, Inland Lakes and Streams, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act, 1994 PA 451, as amended. The applicant proposes construct to 24-foot long by 17-foot wide boathouse on pilings, install a 60-foot long by 4-foot wide parallel dock on pilings, and two 12-foot long by 3-foot wide perpendicular finger piers in the Lake Leelanau “Narrows” at 55 N. Eagle Highway, Lake Leelanau, Michigan. The project is located in T30N, R12W, Section 24; Leland Township, Leelanau County, Michigan.

The application is available for review at the MDEQ Web site: https://www. mi.gov/miwaters, at the MDEQ, WRD, Cadillac District Office, 120 W. Chapin Street, Cadillac, Michigan 49601, or by calling 231-775-3960. The public hearing record will remain open for ten days after the public hearing date. Any written comments to be submitted for the public hearing record must be received at this address on or before the close of the record.

The hearing will be held pursuant to Section 30105 of Part 301. The hearing will not be a legal proceeding, witnesses will not be sworn, and there will be no cross examination. Public hearings are primarily informational and are held to encourage the expression of views and presentation of facts.

The MDEQ will, upon written request, provide a copy of the MDEQ’s decision on this application.
