Elmwood Township Notice To The Public

PLEASE TAKE NOTE that the Township Board of the Charter Township of Elmwood will consider the adoption of an Emergency Services Cost Recovery Ordinance at a regular meeting on March 13, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at the Township Hall, 10090 E. Lincoln Road Traverse City, MI 49684. This is an ordinance to protect the Township from extraordinary expenses resulting from the utilization of Township resources in response to certain public safety, fire, or emergency incidents or conditions, and to authorize the imposition of charges and the methods for collection for recovering reasonable and actual costs incurred in responding to such incidents or conditions. Ordinance #2017-1 will replace the Fire Fee Ordinance of 1992. The ordinance may be viewed at the Township Hall at 10090 E. Empire Township Public Hearing Notice

March 14, 2017 at 7:30 P.M. at the Township Hall, 10088 W. Front St.

Southpointe Lane and W. Maple Glen Drive Private Road Improvement

Special Assessment District - 2017

Please take notice that the Empire Township Board will hold a public hearing on March 14, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at the Township Hall, 10088 W. Front Street for the purpose of receiving any comments or hearing any objections to the following:

1. The plans and cost estimates for the proposed improvement of the private road easements along Southpointe Lane and W. Maple Glen Drive in the township.

2. The new special assessment district to include 24 parcels, parcel numbers as follows: 005-005-040-20, 005- 005-040-30, 005-005-040-40, 005-005- 040-50, 005-005-040-60, 005-005-040- 70, 005-005-040-80, 005-005-043-00, 005-005-042-00, 005-005-014-00, 005- 005-013-00, 005-005-012-00, 005-005- 016-01, 005-005-018-00, 005-005-018- 50, 005-005-019-00, 005-005-020-00, 005-005-021-00, 005-005-015-30, 005- 005-015-20, 005-005-015-40, 005-005- 015-00, 005- 005-015-50, 005-005-015- 10. 3. The proposal that all properties in the special assessment district be assessed for the cost of the public improvement on an equal per parcel basis.

An owner of, or party of interest in, any parcel in the proposed special assessment district may appear in person at the hearing or shall be permitted to file by letter to protest the improvement of said private road easements, the paving of same with gravel and asphalt, the cost thereof, or the proposed financing of such improvement by special assessment. An appearance or written protest at the hearing in the special assessment proceedings is required in order to appeal the amount of the special assessment to the State Tax Tribunal. If a protest is filed in writing, it must be mailed to the attention of the Township Clerk at P.O. Suttons Bay-Bingham Fire & Rescue Authority Notice to the Public

Public Notice is hereby given that the Suttons Bay-Bingham Fire & Rescue Authority will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday March 14, 2017 at 5:30 p.m. at the Suttons Bay-Bingham Fire & Rescue Department located at 201 South St. Mary’s Street in the Village of Suttons Bay.

Leelanau County Road Commission Public Notice

Public Hearings

The Board of County Road Commissioners has scheduled a public hearing during their Tuesday, March 7, 2017 regular meeting at 1:15 p.m. at the Suttons Bay garage located at 10550 E. Eckerle Road, Suttons Bay, Michigan.

The purpose of this public hearing is to listen to comments/questions concerning the proposed changes to the Road Commission’s permit fee schedule.

Adopted the resolution that Solon Township of Leelanau County proclaim that April 2017 is Social Host Awareness Month and also call upon all parents, citizens, homeowners and property owners to host gatherings responsibly and take measures to eliminate access of alcohol to persons under the age of 21

Centerville Township Notice To The Public

Synopsis of Regular Bd. Meeting for Jan. 18, 2017 and Feb. 22, 2017. Board members Schwantes, Wurm, Pleva, Schaub, & Hubbell were in attendance at both meetings. Resolution 2017-01 adopted with agreement to collect 2017 Summer Tax Levy for Leland Schools at $2.50/parcel. Resolution 2017-02 includes Traverse Bay Area 2017 Summer Tax levy agreement to collect taxes. One Land Use Permit and no Land Divisions in December and neither in January 2017. Resolution 2017-03 was approved to adopt the Cost Recovery Ordinance which sets fees for emergency rescue services. Board approved salary resolution for the Supervisor at $9,500 unchanged. Clerk & Treasurer salary resolutions both increased $250 to $15,500 each. Appeals to the tax Board of Review will be heard Mar. 13th, 9-Noon & 1-4 p.m. and Mar. 16th, 1-4 p.m. & 6-9 p.m. at the Cedar Fire Hall. The board drafted the 2017-18 budget for the new fiscal year starting Apr. 1, 2017. The twp will host the annual meeting to take comments on the budget and discuss other priorities to be held on Sat., March 25th, 2017 at the Centerville Twp Hall at 10 a.m. A special board meeting to adopt the budget will be held following the annual meeting.
