Wednesday, March 1

10:14 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Tree down, 12 inches thick, blocking Omena Point Rd. Not on any wires.

12:59 p.m. — Solon Township — Male broke caller’s door trying to get in to talk to her. He left in a green Toyota pickup.

3:01 p.m. — Bingham Township — Motor vehicle into a guardrail on M-22 south of Fort Rd.

3:24 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Possible jackknifed semi. There was no accident, just slow-moving traffic.

3:37 p.m. — Solon Township — Caller lost control of vehicle. Went off the road and landed on its side. He is uninjured and is now at the Cedar Tavern.

5:51 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Caller had to leave her car at the side of the road because of the snow.

6:31 p.m. — Empire Township — Tree in roadway blocking lanes. Look out as power on its way down. No arching at this time. (Consumer’s notified.)

10:09 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller had to abandon his gray Toyota Corolla. He’ll get it in the morning. Road Commission notified.

11:04 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Vehicle looks like it was parked and slid down near the entrance to Cedar Cove.

11:33 p.m. — Cleveland Township — Driver hit deer with the wing of his plow. Still in good condition in case anyone wants it.

Thursday, March 2

7:30 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller and daughter went off the road. No injuries.

10:37 a.m. — Solon Township — Neighbor is creating a traffic hazard with his lawn tractor while snow-blowing his driveway.

3:31 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller reports car/pedestrian accident. Caller is no longer with the patient. Has no information regarding patient consciousness or breathing. Returned home to call.

10:44 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller requests assistance from fire department to help move a horse because it is on it’s side and will die. Horse in the barn. (Caller reports horse back up on its own.)

Friday, March 3

12:56 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Husband “busted up” the dishwasher and ran. Going to blame it on her. Both parties are drunk. Male left in a blue Ford Ranger en route to Old Mission.

6:34 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — White SUV off the road. Appears unoccupied and the vehicle is running with lights on.

11:29 a.m.— Elmwood Township — Blue Ford Windstar northbound on M-22. The driver had a baby in lap.

Saturday, March 4

4:04 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Car parked on the side of the road. Vehicle running. Occupant arrested for operating while intoxicated.

7:51 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Black truck off the road and down an embankment south of Lincoln Rd.

4:48 p.m. — Kasson Township — Single car into tree. Single female occupant out and walking around.

5:17 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller saw man walking dog. Dog looked very skinny. Owner could possibly live down the road.

10:18 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Snowmobile pulled into the garage of an abandon house in the development.

Sunday, March 5

6:18 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller reports that her boyfriend is fighting with her and she wants him to leave. No weapons or drinking. Just verbal.

12:25 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller is on the observation deck off the Leelanau Trail and can see something one-quarter mile south and west of caller about 100 yards off shore. There is something in the water. (Per fire department it is a bird.)

2:14 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Snowdrift — about one foot deep — covering both lanes of road.

8:11 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Large drifts across Kilcherman Rd.

Monday, March 6

4:45 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller has ongoing problem with neighbor’s dog. Keeps coming into caller’s yard. Has bitten her small dog previously. She has a witness to the last incident.

4:54 p.m. — Empire — Caller says “ex” has been sending harassing text messages. Caller needs assistance with a personal protection order.

5:42 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Female driver sitting in her vehicle for an extended period of time near the intersection of Jacobson and Pobuda. (Arrested by Tribal Police for violation of a controlled substance.)

Tuesday, March 7

6:23 a.m. — Kasson Township — Tree down blocking the northbound lane on Valley Rd.

6:23 a.m. — Empire Township — Tree down on Benzonia Trail, completely blocking northbound lane and partially blocking the southbound lane.
