You live in Leelanau County because: I live here because of its natural beauty. I love the fact that I can drive a few minutes and be on a trail or a beach.

Last good movie you saw: “Lion.” I especially enjoyed it because I knew it was a true story.

Last good book you read: “Handle with Care,” by Jodi Picoult.

If you could trade places with one person for a day, who would that be: A back-country ski guide out west.

Things important to you that you have accomplished so far: I successfully transitioned from being a massage therapist to a public servant.

What you hope to be doing in 10 years: Traveling more and working less.

Things you lose sleep over: Sometimes I don’t sleep as well as I’d like to if I haven’t been getting enough physical exercise. Otherwise, I don’t lose sleep over anything. Why would I?

If you could change one thing in Leelanau County it would be: We’d have more affordable housing that would appeal to younger families hoping to live and work here.

Favorite dessert: Pie. Just about any kind. I don’t discriminate.

Are you a coffee drinker: Absolutely. I take it black.

Favorite place in Leelanau County: Cathead Point at Leelanau State Park.

If you had more time you would: Ride my bike, ski and travel.
