Women’s March focus of exhibit

PHOTOS SUCH as this by Kathy Silbernagel will be featured in a exhibit at the Old Art Building chronicling the Women’s March in Washington, D.C. The Old Art Building in Leland will host a new photography exhibit, “Reflections — Images from the Women’s March on Washington” through April 10.

The exhibit features photos by three northern Michigan residents and a fiction writer who traveled to Washington, D.C., to chronicle the event that took place Jan. 21, 2017.

Works by photographers Kathy Silbernagel, Marilyn Hoogstraten and Babs Young are featured along writer Emmy Holman.

An opening reception will be held Friday at 6:30 p.m. and will provide an opportunity to meet the artists and join in conversation.

The Old Art Building is located at 111 S. Main St. in Leland.
