Good stuff for moms to buy

You can buy gently-used children’s items and support a great cause at the St. Mary Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) Mom 2 Mom Sale set for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday in the school cafeteria in Lake Leelanau. The sale will feature new and slightly used items for sale, including strollers, clothing, car seats, bouncers, outerwear, bedroom decor, books, toys and more. Admission is $1.

Senior Services budget discussed

The Senior Services budget will be the topic du jour at a special session of the Leelanau County Board of Commissioners set to start at 1 p.m. Tuesday following the Executive Board meeting. An Annual Statutory Equalization Hearing is also on the agenda for the meeting, which will be held in the commissioners’ meeting room at the Leelanau County Government Center in Suttons Bay.

Adult discussion on birds and bees

More than a third of North America’s bird populations are in decline. Learn why bird and bee numbers are falling at a presentation by Kay Charter, executive director of Saving Birds Thru Habitat, that starts at noon next Wednesday, April 12, in the Leelanau County Government Center. Registration is required at 256-9783 or klong@leelanaucd.org. A $10 fee includes informational handouts.
