Public Notices For Leelanau County

Michigan law requires local governments to inform their citizenry through public notices published in newspapers of record for their communities.  The Leelanau County Government Center will be closing at noon on Friday, April 14, in observance of Good Friday.

 A special meeting of the Northport Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA) Will be held at 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 20. Purpose of the hearing is to consider a request from Frank Goodroe, 122 West Third Street, Northport (property ID# (042-450-066-00-10) for an appeal of the Village Zoning Administrator’s decision that a ‘rooming house’ rental use is in violation of the Village Zoning Ordinance, (CR-1) Commercial/ Residential District.

NOTICE OF MORTGAGE FORECLOSURE SALE (LEELANAU COUNTY) – MORTGAGE SALE – Default has been made in the terms and conditions of a certain Mortgage made by David J. Regner and Regina R. Regner, Husband and Wife, to Fifth Third Bank (N. Michigan), and dated October 26, 2005 and recorded on January 13, 2006, in Liber 887, Page 945, Leelanau County Records, Michigan. Said Mortgage is now held by Fifth Third Bank, an Ohio Banking Corporation. The sum claimed to be due and owing on said Mortgage as of the date of this Notice is $101,542.25, with interest accruing at $10.21 per diem. Public Notice

The Leelanau County Government Center will be closing at noon on Friday, April 14, 2017, in observance of Good Friday. As approved at the Leelanau County Board of Commissioners Board meeting and as approved in the Leelanau County Personnel Policy Manual and the Teamster’s Local #214 union contract, Good Friday is a holiday and shall be observed.
