7:16 a.m. — Kasson Township — Injured coyote in need of dispatching.

3:08 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Man standing on the side of the road throwing food into the roadway so seagulls will attempt to get the food and subsequently get hit by a vehicle.

3:09 p.m. — Leland Township — Silver Dodge Caravan has kindergartenage kids not buckled in and moving about the vehicle.

5:12 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Truck turfing at the airport causing damage.

Thursday, April 20

11:57 a.m. — Empire Township — Consumer’s Energy needs assistance with exchanging electric meter. Resident has made threats in the past.

2:10 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Suspicious person at the courthouse.

3:52 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Someone has placed a flat-screen TV and TV cabinet onto the shoulder of the roadway.

7:15 p.m. — Leland Township — Daughter was picked up at play practice at 6:30 p.m. Perhaps with boyfriend. Caller is concerned for her.

8:52 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller saw a man trying to wave down passing motorists. Caller and husband were not comfortable stopping.

11:38 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Intoxicated woman in purple van, heading north on M-22.

Friday, April 21

8:33 a.m. — Suttons Bay Township — $1,900 fraudulent check cashed in Las Vegas.

10:08 a.m. — Leland Township — Caller reports that landlord said she violated her lease and has cut off her heat and water. Caller has not gotten a formal eviction notice. Would like to speak with a deputy.

10:53 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Subject on foot. Just trying to get a hold of his boss for a ride to work.

4:06 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller is concerned about a female subject. Has Type 1 diabetes and he’s tried calling her. All he can hear is breathing. Subject found to be OK.

9:01 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Two dogs have been coming into caller’s yard.

9:04 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Caller found a small, white dog in his backyard. He’s bringing to the kennel at the Sheriff’s office.

Saturday, April 22

9:53 a.m. — Bingham Township — Caller is following a trailer that was dropping evergreen clippings all over the southbound lane of M-22.

2:11 p.m. — Suttons Bay — Male driver in bronze Impala with black leather front cover driving very fast. Happened an hour ago and then again 10 minutes ago. Caller would like to see a deputy.

2:31 p.m. — Solon Township — Gray Toyota passing vehicles on double yellow line. Driving erratically. (Subject stopped. Said he was on his way to confession.)

3:46 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller lost wallet at Hickory Hills. Caller was contacted by an 18-year-old male who “found” it but won’t return it without ransom. Had $40, driver’s license and credit card.

4:10 p.m. — Empire Township — There is a grass fire in caller’s front yard. About 100-by-60 foot in size.

10:13 p.m. — Leland Township — White SUV “acting suspicious” in the parking lot at Van’s Beach. Was driving back and forth past caller and friend.

Sunday, April 23

12:17 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Young couple parked at Cedar Lake boat launch. (Will be on their way.)

11:46 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller left house for church at 9:20 a.m. Gone for two hours. Upon returning found side window of house broken and service door open. Safe broken into. Contained $50,000 in cash. Valuable jewelry taken.

12:39 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller’s strong-willed 14-year-old was supposed to have been using a hammock in yard. He went down the road and got into a white Chevy vehicle belonging to his girlfriend’s mother. No one answering home. Subject returned home.

3:34 p.m. —Kasson Township — Caller found items along the roadway during Earth Day cleanup. Caller thinks they may be suspicious.

9:30 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Male put bottle of liquor under his shirt and left the store. He attempted to get into a silver vehicle with another driver, but took off on foot.

11:09 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Young male wearing jeans and red hoodie was walking through grass of neighbor’s yard. Last seen three minutes ago. Caller didn’t know who he was. Doesn’t want to see a deputy.

Monday, April 24

7:09 a.m. — Kasson Township — Two calves near the road.

8:10 a.m. — Leelanau Township — Caller is concerned about some posts on social media regarding a male classmate of daughter.

4 p.m. — Kasson Township — Black calf in the road.

6:40 p.m. — Empire Township — Navy Blue 2001 Chevy pickup might be hunting from the road.

7:16 p.m. — Kasson Township — Deputy went to home to serve court papers. An aggressive pit bull ran from behind it’s owner and attempted to attack deputy. He was able to fend it off and escape injury.

7:39 p.m.— Cleveland Township — Caller thinks is ex-wife is breaking into his house to “set him up” over child custody battle.

9:58 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller was at her mother’s house and saw a man crouching near her car. Thinks it’s suspicious.
