Students compete in health field

Three county students will compete in the state conference of the Health Occupations Students of America (HOSA) this week.

The young people, who study health occupations at the Career Tech Center in Traverse City, were among the top three participants in the HOSA Future Health Professionals regional event in Muskegon earlier this month.

Among those competing in the state event today and tomorrow (April 27 and 28) at the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa is Amanda Allison of Suttons Bay in the “medical math” category.

Glen Lake students competing are Nathan Roots and Ivy Paxton. Roots is exploring physical therapy; Paxton, medical reading.
