Area has ‘best’ for dining

Don’t forget Mother’s Day the 14th, or you could be trouble.

Last week was Earth Day (Arbor Day), I hope everybody planted a tree in the forest. Speaking of planting a tree, it looks better having cut back some of the dead wood on M-22. At least it may inhibit the possible fire hazard.

Hopefully everybody took part in and enjoyed Glen Arbor Restaurant Week. As I said before, we may be limited but we have the best as far as dining — and most other things.

Summer is coming. I’m convinced of it.

The Area Agency On Aging of Northwest Michigan (AAANM) is offering a free workshop in Suttons Bay at the government center at 8527 E. Government Center Dr. Suttons Bay.

The six session program provides family caregivers with information and skills for care giving of their loved one living with memory loss who still resides at home. Respite care is available. Dates are Wednesdays 1:30-3:30 p.m. starting June 14.

It’s my understanding that once again this year Lyme disease and the black legged tick could be a problem in the area. Be careful and inspect after walking in the woods.
