Cleveland Township Zoning Board Of Appeals Notice To The Public

Public Hearing and Special Meeting

Thursday, May 18, 2017 - 7 p.m.

Cleveland Township Hall, 955 E Harbor Highway, Cedar MI 49621

The subject of the public hearing is a request for dimensional variance(s) as follows:

Tax ID 45-003-010-020-00; Owners, Dustin & Jennifer McKellar, request a variance to this residential zoned parcel from Zoning Ordinance Section 5.08 Setback Restrictions, specifically, the “no closer than 75ft from the waters edge.” The variance seeks 67 ft relief from the 75 ft setback requirement to allow a 10’x12’ deck and a 6’x10’ boardwalk 8 foot from the water. 8 feet is requested due to dock sections being 10’ long. This will allow the dock legs to set in the water when attached to the deck and will allow the deck to be as far from the water as possible.

The parcel is located at 527 W Traverse Lake Rd, Maple City, MI 49664, Leelanau County, Michigan.

To review the application, visit the Cleveland Township Office, 955 E Harbor Highway, Cedar MI 49621. To submit written comments, write Cleveland Township ZBA, c/o Clerk, 1802 E Old Mountain Rd, Cedar, MI 49621; or email JDECHOW@mhc.net.

Persons requiring an accommodation to participate in the meeting should contact the Township Clerk at (231) 342- 8700 4-days prior to the meeting.

Joe Dechow, Chair; Cleveland Township Zoning Board of Appeals.
