Public Notices For Leelanau County

Michigan law requires local governments to inform their citizenry through public notices published in newspapers of record for their communities.  The Village of Northport will be “flushing fire hydrants” on Tuesday, May 16th.

 The Board of County Road Commissioners has scheduled a public hearing during their Tuesday, May 16 regular meeting at 1:15 p.m.The purpose of this public hearing is to listen to comments/questions concerning a Petition to Abandon County Road petition for a platted, undeveloped alley, Plat of Brown’s Addition to the Village of Leland.

 Glen Arbor Township Planning Commission public hearing Thurs, June 1, 7 p.m. Public Hearing to amend the Glen Arbor Township Zoning Ordinance to include definitions for accessory building, (attached, detached) and accessory use.

The Village of Northport will be “FLUSHING FIRE HYDRANTS” on Tuesday, May 16th, 2017.

Due to the possibility that the “Flushing” could cause some “Rust” in our water lines, we are advising residents TO NOT DO LAUNDRY on the above date and to take any other precautions they feel might be necessary. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and thank the residents in advance for their cooperation.

Public Hearings-Leelanau County Road Commission

The Board of County Road Commissioners has scheduled a public hearing during their Tuesday, May 16, 2017 regular meeting at 1:15 p.m. at the Suttons Bay garage located at 10550 E. Eckerle Road, Suttons Bay, Michigan.

The purpose of this public hearing is to listen to comments/questions concerning a Petition to Abandon County Road petition for a platted, undeveloped alley, Plat of Brown’s Addition to the Village of Leland.

Any questions about this hearing should be directed to the Road Commission office. Persons with disabilities requiring special needs are asked to notify the Road Commission 24 hours prior to this meeting.

Dana Lynn Cowell is requesting a Public Hearing to amend the Glen Arbor Township Zoning Ordinance to include definitions for Accessory Building, (Attached, Detached) and Accessory Use including adding a new Section IV.22 Accessory Buildings and amending Section V.5, Residential I, Uses Permitted, Paragraph C, Detached Residential Extension.
