First and foremost, with Memorial Day coming up I hope everyone remembers what it is really all about. Not the day off, not the picnics, not the beginning of summer, but to remember and pay respect to those that have given the supreme sacrifice so we are able to do all these things. A special thank you to past and present members of our armed forces.

Barrie’s plays, “The Old Lady Shows Her Medals” and “The Twelve-Pound Look,” are both set in World War 1 era London against a backdrop of war.

Readers Theater performances are free to the public, but reservations are suggested.

Speaking of the GAAA, its annual meeting will be an old-fashioned potluck social on Monday, June 12, at 6 p.m. at Lake Street Studios.
