It has been decent weather for Memorial Day, formerly Decoration Day. This day is more of a remembrance than a celebration.

The Glen Arbor Art Association offers pottery and clay classes. “Clay for Kids” is a series of three-day sessions beginning in June taught by veteran art educator Nancy Miller. The classes will be held at Thoreson Farm.

Adults can explore the medium of clay through classes. Instructor John Huston brings decades of practical experience throwing pots and working in clay. For more information call 334-6112.

This is the beginning of bikes galore, be careful. Bicyclists who feel that they have the right of way should keep in mind it is easier for you to stop than a car.
