Library seeks input for programs

The Leland Township Library will host ‘community conversations’ on a strategic plan that will chart a course for the library over the next three to five years. Voters in 2016 approved a millage for the library that will greatly increase revenue, opening up opportunities to expand programming. Staff from the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services will lead sessions at 9 a.m., 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. Friday and at 9 a.m. Saturday at the library. Refreshments will be served.

Bring shovel, help plant trees

Volunteers are needed to help plant 42 trees in Northport on Saturday. Those willing should grab a shovel and meet at 8:30 a.m. at the G. Marsten Dame Marina, where they can sign in and enjoy some light refreshments before starting the work, which will go until about noon. St. Jude benefit hosted by winery

Raise your glass for St. Jude Research Hospital at a Sunset in the Vines fundraiser from 7-10 p.m. next Thursday, June 15, at Rove Estate Vineyard and Winery in Elmwood Township. The event includes Celtic music and dancing, food and wine, a cartoonist and two guest speakers. The cost is $100, with 100 percent of proceeds benefiting St. Jude’s.
