Extension reaches out to answer gardening questions

The Michigan State University Extension (MSUE) will host weekly diagnostic clinics at the county Government Center starting next week.

Each Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., MSUE employees and extension master gardeners will be available to assist residents with garden diagnostic questions from plant pests and disease.

Anyone with plant or insect questions can stop by or drop off a plant or insect samples during regular business hours. Samples will be saved for diagnosis at the next Wednesday clinic.

For those interested in phoning in a law or garden question, MSUE offers a garden hotline open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to noon, and 1-4 p.m.

The hotline number is 1-888-MSUE- 4-MI (1-888-678-3436). Questions can also be answered online through the extension website at ask.extension.org/ask. Photos can be uploaded as part of an online inquiry.

Information is also available at migarden.msu.edu.
