2:06 p.m. — Suttons Bay — Report of retail fraud.

2:08 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Tree down in roadway. Still passable.

Thursday, June 29

11:55 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Three trees down on south end of Thoreson Road about 10 inches in diameter.

3:44 p.m. — Leland Township — Sailboat on Lake Michigan taking on water and having transmission problems. Boat made it safely to harbor.

4:49 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Smoke in the basement. Two persons there are getting out.

5:30 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Silver vehicle passing illegally, causing oncoming traffic to pull off.

Friday, June 30

10:03 a.m. — Empire Township — Top of tree completely blocking one lane of traffic, just before the Empire Village limit sign.

11:56 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller has a rooster in her garage.

12:19 p.m. — Solon Township — Someone is shooting off fireworks.

3:29 a.m. — Leland Township — Vehicle parked in the middle of the roadway. Owner located. Vehicle removed.

4:16 p.m. — Centerville Township — Caller saw a man with a black Jeep dumping something into a ditch along the road. Deputies report that subject was making a wood-chipped path and deposited wood chips there.

5:38 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Vehicle with broken axle and loose tires on M-22 in front of Children’s Museum. Assistance needed with traffic control.

6:57 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Caller arrived at friend’s house and locked her keys in the car.

10:03 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Construction next door making extremely loud noises. Construction crew leaving. Situation resolved.

10:43 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Fireworks complaint near Lakeview Hills Rd.

Saturday, July 1

12:53 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Man approached woman asking for help. He had gray hair, sounded drunk and had a bike.

8:26 a.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Black pickup truck heading north on M-22. Speeding and screeching his tires around curves.

10:49 a.m. — Cleveland Township — Seven or eight vehicles and two pontoons parked on a corner. All cars off the roadway.

12:29 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Female did not show up for work and will not answer her phone. Deputies made contact. She will call work.

12:52 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Someone used caller’s Social Security number to open a Home Depot account.

3:21 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Six teenage boys jumping off the bridge.

5:39 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Large pothole in front of the Northport fire department on Mill St.

5:53 p.m. — Village of Northport — Bicyclist stopped at caller’s house a bit confused. Not sure where she was going or where she can from. Caller requests a park ranger to help her.

6:04 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Dog locked in daughter-in-law’s vehicle for an hour. AAA guy has been working on vehicle for 45 minutes. He does not carry a “slim jim.” Caller was given numbers for locksmiths.

6:43 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Neighbors have started shooting off fireworks and the caller is concerned that they’ll continue all weekend. Would like them informed on restrictions.

7:59 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller on Glen Lake saw plume of smoke in the area of the Glen Lake Community Reformed Church. Smoke dissipated during call. Just a campfire.

9:03 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Kids jumping off at the Narrows.

10:17 p.m. — Empire Township — Caller’s neighbor shooting off fireworks last night and tonight. Caller would like to see a deputy.

10:29 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Neighbor shooting off fireworks.

10:30 p.m. — Bingham Township — Fireworks across the road. Doesn’t need to be seen.

11:13 p.m. — Bingham Township — Fireworks going off for a while. Caller asked them to stop and they continued. Caller doesn’t need to be seen.

11:17 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Loud party at Greilickville Harbor Park.

11:28 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Fireworks coming from the area near M-22 and E. Lakeview Hills Rd.

Sunday, July 2

8:59 a.m. — Kasson Township — A group of 50 or so bikers traveling north on Maple City Road. Riding five abreast and also running stop signs.

10:46 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Blue Ford Explorer in the ditch. Unoccupied.

10:49 a.m. — Elmwood Township — Two hay bales in the southbound lane.

11:37 a.m. — Kasson Township — People use caller’s driveway as a turn around. Caller put “no trespassing” signs at the end of driveway and wants extra patrols to stop this.

12:26 p.m. — Leelanau Township — Tree branch fell on power lines causing the line to come down and the transformer was sparking.

4:32 p.m. — Empire Village — Dog left in black Jeep Liberty in parking lot.

6:30 p.m. — Glen Arbor Township — Three teens jumping off the bridge.

6:35 p.m. — Leland Township — Parking issues near restaurant. Causing issues for emergency vehicles. Offending car departed. Another close to the sign but not parked illegally.

7:10 p.m. — Kasson Township — Red Ford Escape westbound on M-72. Crossed yellow line.

8:24 p.m. — Suttons Bay Township — Fireworks complaint.

9:18 p.m. — Empire Village — Parking complaint at Empire Beach and Niagara St.

9:56 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Neighbor trouble. Verbal only. Not violent.

10:10 p.m. — Empire Village — Caller complaining again about fireworks on Wilce St.

10:28 p.m. — Bingham Township — Fireworks complaint.

10:58 p.m. — Elmwood Township — Caller reports someone is setting off fireworks on M-22, north of Cherry Bend Road.

Monday, July 3

12:07 a.m. — Leland Township — Loud house party going on all evening.

12:55 a.m. — Village of Northport — Caller disconnected twice while reporting a fight involving 10 people.
