Dragonfly program coming to Saving Birds sanctuary

The Saving Birds Thru Habitat organization will host a program in search of dragonflies and damselflies.

Dragonfly expert, Dave Dister, will lead a hike on Saturday, July 22, to locate the insects at the Saving Birds sanctuary.

There are fair numbers of the flying predators around the sanctuary.

Dister will net what can be found and allow youngsters to release them.

The program is set for 10 a.m. and participants will meet at Saving Birds’ parking lot, located at 5020 N. Putnam Rd.

Further information is available by calling 271-3738.
