Town or township of residence: I lived in Suttons Bay with Leslie and Mark Suitor but am from Leopoldstal, Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany.

Resident since: I first arrived here in August of 2015 and stayed until July of 2016.

Age and birthplace: 17 and was born in Detmold, Germany.

Occupation: Full-time student

Marital status: Single

You lived in Leelanau County because: I was placed in Leelanau County by the exchange student organization ASPECT FOUNDATION. Since then, I’ve returned this summer to visit friends and my host family, as well as to show my mom and sister what a beautiful place I got to live in last year.

Last good movie you saw: "Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby" (shown at this summer’s Film Festival).

Last good book you read: "Swan Song" by Robert McCammon.

If you could trade places with one person for one day, it would be: Ben Brown, world traveler and former Olympic athlete.

Things important to you that you’ve accomplished so far: Living abroad for 12 months, playing soccer for nine straight years, and most recently interning at a German film set.

What you hope to be doing in 10 years: I’d like to have a good job as an architect or engineer and be able to afford to travel the world as much as possible.

Things you lose sleep over: The recent changes in international relations.

If you could change one thing in Leelanau County it would be: I wouldn’t change anything - I love it just the way it is.

Favorite dessert: Kalte Schnauze - it’s a German chocolate cookie dessert.

Are you a coffee drinker? Yes.

Favorite place in Leelanau County: Sugarloaf.

If you had more time you would: Travel more, of course.
