A celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. today in the St. Francis High School gymnasium in Traverse City for Joshua Justin Crawford of Traverse City, previously of Cedar, who died Friday, July 28.

He was 36.

Josh became involved with Special Olympics in his early 20s, where he formed a huge circle of friends. He loved to play basketball, poly hockey and his favorite sport, soccer.

Josh was a great fan of all Detroit sports, especially the Red Wings and University of Michigan sports. He was also an avid fan of St. Francis boys and girls basketball teams and often sat a couple rows behind the team bench to give advice if needed.

Josh is survived by his parents, Tom and Vicky Crawford; brother Zachary Crawford (Amber Therrien); sister Emily Crawford; grandparents David and Gerri Romzek; and many amazing aunts, uncles, cousins and friends far and wide.
