After the dust settled and the final out was recorded, Suttons Bay baseball players walked away from Championship Saturday with their heads held high.

The Norsemen, who hosted the 2017 Leelanau County Youth League Championships, collected both boys titles on Saturday as Union Street Station and A1 Advantage protected home field advantage with titles at the Colt and Pee Wee ranks.

“After three years of winning the regular season, we finally won the championship game,” said Suttons Bay Athletic Director Doug Periard, who coaches the Colts. “I’m very proud of how they played.”

The Middle Girls and Junior Girls titles went to teams from Lake Leelanau and Cedar, respectively.
