13th Circuit Court

The honorable Thomas G. Power in 13th Circuit Court on Tuesday accepted a plea and sent another case back to District Court.

Gregory H. Nash, 62, has been remanded to 86th District Court, where he plans to plead guilty to a lesser charge.

Nash, of Williamsburg, was arraigned on May 16 on felony charges of larceny by conversion between $1,000 and $20,000, and larceny in a building after allegedly taking more than $18,000 from an Elmwood Township woman for a construction project that was never done.

According to a court report, Nash sent the woman a letter saying he had been forced to close his business. He was also accused of removing materials for the project from the woman’s garage to return for a cash refund.

In a separate case, Christopher A. Wittman, 53, pleaded guilty to drunken driving, third offense.

Wittman has been referred for a presentence investigation. His sentencing has been set for Oct. 9.
