Fall fun in Leland, Northport

We’ve got coverage in Section Two on the Leland Heritage Festival set for Saturday, and the Northport Follies Friday evening. The festival includes old boats and cars and a stroll through Fishtown. And the Follies provides local entertainment for a wonderful cause, the Northport Promise Scholarship.

Old trailers visiting Leelanau

Head to Indigo Bluffs Resort for a Tin Can Tourist Open House being held from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. Members of the oldest trailer and motor coach club will be on hand to talk about the coolest tiny home — the vintage travel trailer. About 40 vintage travel trailers from the 1930s to the 1980s can be toured during the one-day event and visitors can meet the people who have restored these tiny homes to their former glory.

Wings are wonderful

Meet the Wings of Wonder ambassador raptors at a family day set for noon to 7 p.m. Saturday at the Little Traverse Inn on M-22 in Cleveland Township. The day includes fun activities for kids, several musicians and food vendors. And from 2-4 p.m. meet Rebecca Lessard and her raptors. There is no cost for this event, but donations are appreciated.
