Sing-a-long with ShareCare

Like to sing? Then head to the Bay Theatre at 1 p.m. Sunday to watch the documentary “Young@Heart,” which chronicles a senior citizen choral group as it prepares for a concert. Songs range from rock to punk, and a sing-a-long will be held at the end of the movie. The cost to attend the ShareCare fundraiser is $15 and includes a raffle with a grand prize of a year of free movies, soda and popcorn for two.

Your thoughts on county park

Got ideas for Veronica Valley Park? The Veronica Valley Park Steering Committee of the Leelanau County Parks and Recreation Commission will hold a public input session to hear suggestions for a proposed conceptual plan of the park from 6:30-8 p.m. Tuesday at the County Government Center in Suttons Bay. All are welcome to attend this idea session for the popular county park.

View fall’s changes atop the Whaleback

Get some exercise with the Changing Seasons Hike at Whaleback Natural Area in Leland Township. Hikers will go to the top of Whaleback, which rises 300 feet and provides views of the Manitou Passage. The trail travels over roots and rocks; some participants bring hiking poles or sticks. You can register at the Leelanau Conservancy website.
