Notice of Public Hearing on the Special Assessment Roll for the Blue Ridge Lane, Old Orchard Road and South Orchard Way Special Assessment District Public Act 188 of 1954, as Amended.

Elmwood Charter Township Leelanau County, Michigan

TO: THE RESIDENTS AND PROPERTY OWNERS OF LAND WITHIN THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT DISTRICT AND ANY OTHER INTERESTED PERSONS

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that the township supervisor/township assessor has reported to the township board and filed in the office of the township clerk for public examination a special assessment roll prepared by him/her covering all properties within the Blue Ridge Lane, Old Orchard Road and South Orchard Way Special Assessment District. The special assessment roll has been prepared for the purpose of assessing the costs of the maintenance, snow removal, and a streetlight on roads within the Special Assessment District. The assessment is in a total amount of $13,920.00 for 2017.

Synopsis of September 13, 2017 Regular Board Meeting

The Suttons Bay Township Board held a regular meeting on September 13, 2017. Present: Clerk VanHuystee, Treasurer Hartesvelt, and Trustees Nixon and Slocombe. Absent: Supervisor Bahle.

Approved agenda. Reports received. Approved the Minutes and paying the bills. Adopted Suttons Bay Township Fee Schedule, Resolution No. 7 of 2017, effective September 13, 2017.

Empire Township Board Minutes

The following is a synopsis of the September 12, 2017 regular meeting of the Empire Township Board. A complete copy of the minutes may be obtained by contacting the Clerk at 231-326-5349.

Supervisor Noonan called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Members present: Neiswonger and Deegan. Late: Deering. Absent: Price Minutes of the 08-8-17 regular meeting were approved.

Actions approved by motions: 1) After a successful season at the campground, motion approved for a $2000.00 bonus for manager Bertaud, a $1,000.00 bonus for maintenance worker Rude, and a $300.00 bonus for assistant maintenance worker Johnston. 2) Hired Joe Harriger to apply new siding and shingles to the campground well house. 3) Hired KCI to print and mail the tax bills. 4) Accepted the Road Commission’s estimate on seal coating for the Lakeview Orchards Special Assessment District in order to bill the property owners accordingly on the winter tax roll. 5) Levied 0.4504 for general operations and levied 4.6000 for fire department operations. 6) Amended 2017/2018 Budget. 7) Paid monthly bills.

Meeting was adjourned at 8:55 p.m.

Kasson Township Notice to the Public

The Kasson Township Planning Commission will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, October 16, 2017, at 7:00 PM at the Kasson Township Hall, 10988 Newman Rd., Maple City, MI

Centerville Township Notice To The Public

Synopsis of Regular Bd. Meeting for September 13, 2017. Board members Wurm, Pleva, Schaub, & Hubbell were present. Schwantes was excused. Six Land Use Permits and no Land Divisions were issued in August. The 2017 Winter Tax Rate Request will be .5754 Mills for general township operations and .9886 Mills for Fire/Ambulance operations. The Twp hall upgrade project continues with Andy Rink delivering proposed architect drawings to the board. Minor changes will be incorporated and made available at the next month’s meeting. The next PC meeting will be October 9th, 2017 at 7 p.m. at the Centerville Twp Hall.
