Public Notices For Leelanau County

Michigan law requires local governments to inform their citizenry through public notices published in newspapers of record for their communities. Bingham Township Notice

Synopsis of Bingham Township Regular Board meeting of September 18, 2017. Meeting called to order by Supervisor Werner. Board members present: Midge Werner, Brad Saxton, Gary McGhee, Sandy Grant and Kathy Morio. Agenda amended and approved. The Board minutes of August 21, 2017 were approved. The Charter Franchise agreement was accepted. The Junk/Blight Complaint Policy/Procedure discussion led to calling for a Public Hearing. Revised resolution for K & K farms adopted. Cherryland Electric Franchise agreement resolution adopted. A resolution recognizing G. Leightons service in EMS adopted. Trees trimmed at Bingham cemetery and Boughey Park. Approved payroll and vendor balance. Accepted Tobin & Co. Audit fee. Meeting adjourned at approximately 8:25 p.m.

Suttons Bay Village Notice

Synopsis of Suttons Bay Village Council Regular meeting of September 18, 2017.

Regular meeting called to order at 5:30 p.m., by President Lutke. Quorum present.

Present: Bahle, Case, Christensen, Egan, Hylwa, Lutke and Suppes

Council affirmed the Village President’s Planning Commission recommendation to appoint Pete Ostrowski to the Suttons Bay Planning Commission beginning immediately, and ending December 31, 2020.

Council approved the payment of bills as presented by Treasurer DeVol.

The meeting adjourned at 6:08 p.m.

Cedar Area Fire & Rescue Board

2018-2020 Budget Public Hearing Notice

The Cedar Area Fire & Rescue Board will hold a public hearing for the proposed Fire and Rescue Budget General Fund for the operating years ending March 31, 2020 at the Cedar Fire Department Meeting Room, 8907 Railroad Avenue, Cedar, MI 49621 on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 7:00 p.m.

A copy of the budget will be available for public inspection six days prior to the meeting at the Cedar Fire and Rescue, 8907 Railroad Avenue, Cedar, MI

49621 during regular business hours. This notice is given in compliance with PA267 of 1976 as amended (Open Meeting Act), MCLA 141.412 and American Disabilities Act (ADA).

Glen Arbor Township Regular Board Meeting

August 15, 2017 Minutes Synopsis

Township Supervisor, Peter Van Nort, called the meeting to order at 7:30 pm in the Glen Arbor Town Hall meeting room. All board members were present. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. The agenda was presented and accepted. The minutes of the 7/18/17 Regular Meeting were approved as presented. Public Comments: None. The Treasurer reported 7/31/17 cash on hand - $2,601,669.17. General Fund: Expenses $31,738.13, Payroll $13,284.71. Emergency Services: Expenses $40,905.60. Payroll $73,827.71, both General Fund payroll and expenses and Emergency Services payroll and expenses were approved to be paid by motion. All expenses and financial statements have been reviewed and approved by ESAC. Emergency Services Advisory Commission Report: Roy Pentilla. Fire Chief Operations Report: Chief Dodson was not present. The Zoning Administrators Report: submitted in writing. The Monthly Assessors Report: submitted in writing. The correspondence was reviewed and accepted as presented. Unfinished business: Officers and Trustees – No conflict verification. Cherry Republic – MEDC. Gutter covers have been installed. Gateway welcome signs are being made. Garden video/voice monitoring – is up and running. The Park bond passed. New business: Glen Lake Emergency Services Budget Proposal. Fisher Lake SAD. The Planning Commission Report: John Peppler. Public Comments: Bill Merserve. Board Member Comments: None. Supervisor Comments: None. The meeting was adjourned by Supervisor Van Nort at 10:17 pm.
