Sugar Loaf meeting planned

California real estate investor and attorney Jeff Katofsky, owner of Sugar Loaf since 2015, will unveil his plans for the long-shuttered resort at a public forum set for 11 a.m. Friday at the County Government Center in Suttons Bay.

Katofsky is expected to also share a timeline and his vision, as well as take questions and comments from the audience.

Pumpkins are fun time in G-A

Dress the kids and the family pets up in their Halloween finery for two parades Saturday as part of Glen Arbor’s Annual Pumpkin Fest. The celebration of fall includes live music, games and pumpkin carving from noon to 4 p.m. at the Glen Arbor Township Park. The kids costume parade kicks off at 1 p.m., pet parade at 1:30 p.m. and pie-eating contest at 3 p.m., and a lighting of the carved pumpkins at 6 p.m.

Reader’s Theatre performance, try-outs

Got some untapped talent? Then try your hand at the Reader’s Theater auditions from 7-9 p.m. Monday at the Glen Lake Community Reformed Church in Burdickville.

Or if you want to be entertained, head to the Burdickville church for the Reader’s Theater production of “On Golden Pond” at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday. Admission is free, but reservations are suggested for the Glen Arbor Art Associationsponsored event.
