G-A hikes hall rental

Rental rates for the Glen Arbor Township hall were increased last week.

The Glen Arbor Township Board voted on Oct. 17 to increase rates for township residents and others from outside the community.

“It had been four years since we increase the rates,” Treasurer Terry Gretzema said. “We feel its an excellent value as it relates to other venues in the area.”

Township residents renting the hall will be charged $500 for one day, which represents a $100 increase in rate.

Non-residents will have a $150 increase — $750 compared to the $600 previously paid for use of the hall.

The rates do not include an additional charge for a day previous to decorate for an event and day after the event to clean up. Including those would increase the cost for three consecutive days by $400.
