You live in Leelanau County because: It’s a wonderful and beautiful place to live that’s full of adventure.

Last good movie you saw: “The Longest Ride.” I liked it because it shows how sometimes you have to give up what you love most for those that are important to you.

Last good book you read: “My Miracle Morning” by Hal Elrod. I liked it because it helped me learn how to live life to my fullest potential and dig deep enough to not give up on yourself.

If you could trade places with one person for one day, it would be: Judy Packard. She was a huge inspiration in my life growing up and was one of many that made me want to go into education and help better the lives of others. It was her dream as much as it was mine that one day I would be a teacher. Trading places with her would allow me to see myself from her point of view.

Things important to you that you’ve accomplished so far: Starting a career in education early in my life, being the first in my family to further my education past high school, and the handyman business that I started.

What you hope to be doing in ten years: I hope to be a successful educator and to be making everyone around me as happy as I’ll be.

Things you lose sleep over: I lose sleep over planning projects or thinking about how to be a better role model for the students I work with every day.

If you could change one thing in Leelanau County it would be: I would not change anything about it. It’s a small community, full of kind and caring individuals and it’s a very safe place.

Favorite dessert: Tres Leches Cake

Are you a coffee drinker? Yes.

Favorite place in Leelanau County: Bayside Coffee & Tea

If you had more time you would: I would spend it doing the things that make me happy - enjoying the little things.

The words that best describe you are: Caring, loving, and happy.
