Help needed to clean up trails

Take a break from your own yard and join the Friends of Leelanau State Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday to help clean up on the trail system. Volunteers are needed to rake and blow leaves, trim trees and get trails ready for winter. Participants should meet at the trail head off Densmore Road north of Northport. Equipment, water and snacks are provided, though volunteers should bring a bag lunch. Call 386-5422 for more information.

Deluxe breakfast served by Lions

The Cedar/Maple City Lions Club plans a repeat of its highly successful spring “deluxe” pancake breakfast. Breakfast will be served Sunday at the Lions Community Building from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and will include sausage, cheesy potatoes, scrambled eggs, fruit and, of course, pancakes.
