Lions begin Christmas tree sale in Kasson Twp.

Now that you’ve stuffed yourself for Thanksgiving dinner, it’s time to get moving and onto the next holiday — Christmas — and the Cedar-Maple City Lions Club may be able to help you out.

The club is hosting its annual Christmas Tree Sale starting this weekend.

The sale will be held Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the club’s Christmas tree site on M-72, 11 miles west of Tom’s West Bay through Dec.17.

However, you can cut your own any day and send a check to the Cedar- Maple City Lions, Box 28, Maple City, MI 49664.

Some cut trees will be available. However, on weekends club members will be there to assist,

“You can cut it or we can,” Lions Club president Dan Hobbins said.

A donation of $10 is suggested.

Club member the late Glen M. Noonan donated use of his property for the sale each year. The tradition has continued after his death in September 2014.

Proceeds from the sale go toward Lions’ community projects.
